Vitamin A Swimwear

Meet Amahlia Stevens the designer behind Vitamin A Swimwear.  Amahlia grew up in California and is an avid surfer.  A graduate of the Art Center College of Design and co-creator of the Hollister Co. concept.  Amahlia is inspired by trendy Laguna Beach girls and their SoCal lifestyles.  She currently designs the line in her Laguna Beach studio that rests by the Pacific Ocean.  Always a true California girl, Amahlia brings bold pops of color and 60s inspired patterns into her swimwear designs.  All designs can be mixed and matched, so every girl can find her own style.  Stevens carefully designs each piece to fit a woman’s body perfectly, taking care that your bikini stays in place.

“Primarily my bikinis are known for being very sexy, chic, and simple, but you can take a walk on the beach, and nothing slips; you can actually go through a wave…”

When Stevens orginially designed the Vitamin A collection back in 2000, there were only four little black bikinis.  These bikinis became known as the LBB or Little Black Bikini and are a go to choice when you need something chic and fabulous to wear to the beach.

The suits are handcrafted using Italian tricot, which is a blended fabric of fast drying nylon and lycra yarn.  All bikinis are made with a four way stretch and built in support.  The Vitamin A Swimwear Collection is not just designed but also made in California.

Amahlia lives the California lifestyle even today.  No matter where her travels take her, she always comes home to Laguna Beach, where she shares a beach bungalow wither her partner, Julius Mørck and their dog, Jasper Jones.
